Use groups without losing track of your clips.

Nested folders let a larger Voice Pack hold themes, characters, or scene groups. When a parent pack is selected, the official guide says its own clips and its child-folder clips are included.

  1. 01

Prove the parent folder works first

Start with one working clip in the parent Pack. Do not add structure while the basic Pack is still failing.

  2. 02

    Create groups players can understand

Use child folders for a real choice such as characters, shows, or difficulty. A group name should explain its contents in the selector.

  3. 03

Keep parent and child notes accurate

Child folders may have their own clips and context files. Describe what each selection contains, especially when the parent gathers everything.

  4. 04

    Test parent and child selections

Run a short round for each child and then the parent. Confirm the parent pool includes both direct and nested clips.

Subfolders do not isolate their clips from the parent selection. Treat the parent as the full collection when balancing variety.

Ready to test

  • The parent Pack loads before children are added.
  • Every group has a player-readable label.
  • Parent and child selections were tested separately.
  • The parent pool contains the expected nested clips.

Nested Pack FAQ

Subfolders change organisation, not the need to test audio and filenames.

Next step

Test the whole collection from a clean start.

Install one pack, restart the game, and verify the selector, clips, captions, and images before sharing it.
