Choicer Voicer Troubleshooting

Choose the symptom you see first: no mic detection, recording silence, playback silence, the wrong platform file, or a Pack that will not load. Keep the base game and one recent change separate while you test.

Start from the symptom you see

Use the free compatibility demo before changing Pack folders. These checks begin with the least risky changes and do not promise a single fix for every device.

Mic not detected

Confirm the microphone works in your operating system, select the intended input in game, restart after device changes, then use the No Gameplay Demo to test the base setup before buying or adding Packs.

Live mic works, recording is silent

This is a known pattern in player reports. Recheck the selected input and output devices, simplify surround or virtual routing, restart the game, and test the demo before changing Pack files.

Recording exists, playback is silent

If the game shows a recording but you cannot hear it, verify the active output device, restart after an output change, and test a simple direct audio path before adding Discord or virtual routing.

Wrong Windows or Linux file

If a file opens in the wrong app on Windows, confirm you did not download the Linux build. Windows players should use the Windows executable package.

Pack does not load

Remove the newest Pack folder, confirm the base game still works, then check the Pack type, target folder, file structure, and any Dub Pack OGV or metadata requirements.

After audio works, move to packs
