Chatter Pack: Let chat speak in the game without turning every message into noise.

Chatter Packs are a Twitch-exclusive feature introduced in 0.5. They map chat keywords to audio files during a game show, so keyword design is as important as the clips themselves.

A creator filters chat reactions into a few controlled voice-trigger waveforms.
  1. 01

    Create a folder in packs_chatter

Use the game's file access from the main menu and keep the Chatter Pack separate from normal Voice Packs.

  2. 02

    Choose short, distinct clips

Chatter audio behaves like a Voice Pack collection, but chat can trigger it often. Avoid long clips and unclear reactions.

  3. 03

    Create config_chatter

Add an INI or CFG file named config_chatter. Define broad_keywords and exact_keywords in their own bracketed sections.

  4. 04

Use exact keywords for controlled commands

Exact keywords are case-sensitive and work well for emotes or channel commands.

  5. 05

    Use broad keywords sparingly

Broad keywords match within a chat user's first word. Test variations so an ordinary word does not cause constant audio.

Chatter Packs apply to Twitch streamers. They are not a way to give remote friends normal online multiplayer access.

Ready to test

  • The folder is inside packs_chatter.
  • config_chatter uses INI or CFG format.
  • Exact commands were tested with their intended casing.
  • Broad keywords do not trigger on unrelated common messages.

Quick answers

Chatter Pack FAQ

Keyword scope determines whether chat participation feels intentional or chaotic.

Next step

Test chat triggers before a live session.

A small, well-scoped Chatter Pack is more useful than a long library that fires on every message.
