Dub a scene, then hear the full reveal.

Dub Mode turns a Pack into a scene you voice over. Record each sample with as many retakes as you need, then listen when the game plays your work back over the video at the end.

  1. 01

    Confirm base recording first

Use the No Gameplay Demo or a simple normal round to verify microphone detection, recording, and playback before opening a Dub Pack.

Live monitoring by itself does not prove that a saved take will play back.

  2. 02

Choose a Pack marked for Dub use

Dub Packs can also behave like normal Voice Packs, but Dub Mode needs their video and timing data. In 0.5.1, usable Voice Packs show a Dub indicator in selection.

  3. 03

    Pick your pace

Use the standard clip-by-clip flow when you want to focus on each line. Freestyle Dub is a faster, looser option where the video continues live.

  4. 04

    Record with retakes

Dub Mode lets you retry each sample. Focus on a clear take rather than trying to imitate the source perfectly.

  5. 05

    Wait for the full playback

The final reveal plays the recorded audio over the Pack video after all samples are complete. Keep the Pack available if you plan to revisit the replay.

Ready for a first round

  • The microphone records and plays back in a simple test.
  • The selected Pack is intended for Dub Mode.
  • The first scene is short enough to finish and review.
  • The Pack stays installed for future replay checks.
Understand saved Dubs and replays

Dub Mode is an official Pack workflow, not a file-changing mod.

Searches sometimes call any new scene a dub mod. In Choicer Voicer, Dub Mode and Dub Packs are documented game features: a Dub Pack is a Voice Pack subtype with OGV video and timing metadata. It does not require changing the game executable.
